Zynchro indicates that a player is in Recovery mode in a few situations, these are the most common ones:

  •     Issue with a player's SD card

  •     Errors in a presentation

  •     Bad reboot

When Zynchro detects that there is a problem, it sends the player into recovery mode while it tries to republish the last presentation that was running correctly on the player. This will make sure that your player is still running content even if the last publish made to it had issues.

Note: Zynchro considers any presentation that has been running without issues for at least 10 minutes a stable presentation.

To remove a player from recovery mode:

  • If the issue that sent the player into recovery mode was due to the content, Zynchro will automatically republish to the player the last correct presentation.

Once the player is running a stable presentation, it will still be marked as yes in recovery mode, to change this, you must republish a presentation. This allows you to detect if a player was in recovery mode as it might not be running the most current presentation.

  • If the issue persists after republishing, then it is most likely due to a faulty SD card and the card should be replaced. As soon as a new blank SD card is inserted in your player, Zynchro will automatically set it up and republish to it.

Note: Please make sure to use a class 10, Bright Sign recommended SD card. The use of SD cards other than those recommended by BrightSign voids Zynchro´s warranty and support will not be provided.
